A couple of months ago I bought the Torin Aluminum low height 1 1/2 ton floor jack with 3-ton jack stands at Pep Boys for $149.
I think they were running a special at the time
So far it has been working out good

i have a 4,000lb SUV jack, that has extra high lift range, it takes less than one pump to get it to the lift point and then just a few more to get the car high enough for any jackstand....
super quick to use....

You do not have to have a low clearance floor jack to fit under an evo (I should know, my car is lowered 2-2.5 inches). You can fit a fairly tall jack just behind the front wheel wells and under the rear differential (with a wooden 2x4" block used as a pad) just fine.
