I have had mine in for 6 months now with no noise too. I was expecting the worst from what everyone was telling me. I was pleasently suprised.

It changes all the time. You'll probably hear it later. Mine was silent at first, but now it can be heard at full whine most of the time.

You'll hear it in time. The first year I had my Walbro pump it was pretty quiet. After the second year I started to notice it whine. It's not that bad, you just get used to it.

Maybe because when you turn the key on the pump does not prime on the evo. I only runs under crank and while running.

What exactly causes the noise? Vibration to where it mounts inside the fuel tank? I've never done a fuel pump so i'm not sure how they bolt up in the tank. If its like i'm guessing, is there any way to insulate it as to reduce noise?
