New 2006 Evo MR

Just got my Evo MR a month ago from Southgate Mitsubishi in Michigan and its awesome. I want to do some stuff to it, but I don't know where to start.

Should I go with performance, exterior or interior first?

welcome...before you get flamed I suggest you use the search button...there are a million threads on this. Modding exterior/interior/performance is all up to you, in the end you're the one who lives with the car not the people on this forum. But if you do want to go performance don't do intake/bov first cause you'll actually lose power without a tune...search is your friend...

Why ask us? That's your decision to make. If you go with power, then I suggest the package in my sig - great bang for the buck.

Congrats. I guess you got the other silver MR. When I got mine at the end of March, there were two of them there as well as a silver GSR.

I'm going the "drive the hell out of it then mod" route. I did Grattan earlier this month and am doing the CGI HPDE at Gingerman next. Might do Summit Pt (Shenandoah) in WV in August. Probably one or two more at Grattan by the end of the year. It's fun in the twisties.

Couldn't stand the factory CD player and upgrade w/i days to Alpine 9856 w/ iPod connector. Thinking ahead for winter, I got a set of Kosei K-1 TS for summer and will get winters for the BBS wheels.

Are you on miEVO.net too?

I figure that i would add to the sparticus line here and tell you the same thing that everyone told me when i got into "the game"...... search first newb, then ask if you can't find out. Its not anyones choice but your own to make .

If you used your real name/VIN you may just have voided the drivetrain warranty on your new car. If you dont care, then more power to ya

Cosmetics-window tint, evodave lights, wheels/1 inch drop, body kit.

Power (if you dont care about your warranty)-TBE and reflash to start off with-will get you to 330whp

others

V1 radar detector, lazer jammer, clearbra, upgraded sound system, alarm.

the list is more or less endless, its up to you

Yeah I heard the Red ones give you 10 WHP and if you get the underbody neons then you looking at around 50 WHP gain.....lol

Seriously though, you should research before asking some questions but I once was in your shoes. Power or looks is your call but for power you should go with the packages that warrtalon suggests. I have his stage 1&2 kit and i'm very pleased.

Track days (not timed or competition) / HPDE = voided warranty? If so then all the more reason to begin mods.

congratulations!

just so you know, when you post threads like this, youll get something like "do your own research", so for now search for "tbe", "turboback exhaust", "full exhaust", etc youll see all the threads that had been discussed, from sound, brands vs brands, price or looks...theyre easy to find, just get use to it.

for starters, i would suggest Turboback exhaust

brand?
greddy ti
hks
bushcur
megan
vishnu
helix
apexi

make sure its 3" mandrel bent. hope this helps.
