K&N air filter power gain
does anyone know how much hp to expect with just an drop in k and n air filter. i know its not much , but im curious. just bought one online and ive heard it makes the turbo a bit louder.

If you run it with the intake plastic box cover off, I have seen as much as an additional 12 whp gain.
When you are ready, go with a good intake like the Injen or HKS. Those will make even more HP.

3 to 5 whp seems like a safe bet, maybe a little more. The Works drop in filter is better in my opinion though (but more expensive too), about 8-10whp from what others have reported. I put on the Works and noticed the difference, a good filter. I also had higher traps of about 1mph with the Works on compared to stock.

Don't feel any different, but the spool is nice. Anywho, what do you guys use to clean out the filter with? I got mine on for almost two years now and it's starting to look iffy. Kinda wanna clean it a bit. Any suggestion.
