srt4 amount to an evo??

this guy i heard about said it only took him 3Gs to get over 400hp in his srt4,i dont see it happening, thats counting bigger turbo and tuning....and they say his srt4 will put my ams gt35r evo to sleep with my evo having 28psi and 5 bar aem map...i dont see this happening, but maybe some of you had a srt4 or know someone and can fill me in...the fastest srt4 ive seen was 10.7 and they were braggin about it online...granted 10.7 is quick but how many evos are in the 9s?10s? my point exactly....well if you had a srt4 etc maybe you can fill me in...

Maybe 400 crank using a 20% drivetrain loss, which would be 320whp.

If he's so cocky, see if he will run from a dig and put his money where his mouth is!

haha my buddy worked at SBR for a while and had a black SRT with a gt40r 77 trim and had the biggest available FMIC to fit and had 1300 cc injectors i believe... needless to say it pushed almost 450hp and couldnt do much of anything at the track.. one thing that i have learned about SRT's if they dont have LSD and big fat low pressure slicks on the front, then they dont got crap.. no challange for your AMS off the line, now from like 60 mph i have video footage of us being irresponsible on a highway, and needless to say ive never gone so fast in so little time in a car, let alone a neon...

I dont think you have anything to worry about. Plus it will still never have the handling, braking, or looks the Evo has. Plus you cant roll the rear windows down unless you crank them LOL. But really they can be fast but traction is abig problem. I have not seen any local ones with mods break under 13, but I know it's possible. Tack it to the track and wipe the track with him! Best of luck

thank you my point exactly...well he doesnt want to do a dig,you know why,lol....he wants to do a 30mph...so ill give him his 30mph...but like the guy said on here that his buddy i believe had a black one with gt40 and way more mods and had 450hp..that would probably give a evo a run....but this guy i dont think so...oh and all of a sudden he cracked his manifold,i think hes scared...but from 30mph with fwd srt4 50 trim(i think) vs a gt35r evo awd you think he can get me on that,my buddys said a fwd will take off on a cruise quicker but once i get goin its over...keep the comments coming

ohh btw from 30mph if he really has 400WHP he will break the tires loose until mid 3rd gear(65-75mph).. the black one i was in, we made it a joke breaking the tires loose at 60mph.. soooo chances are if you can get a jump your set..

so if 400hp is basically no good on a roll on fwd....i doubt he has that much...i think it MIGHT be a 50 trim..he said he spent no more then 3gs,so in my opinion thats a junk set up....

FWD is going to slip too much,so you should win with brake boosting.

I had a buddy with a big turbo SRT-4 and he would spin BFG DR's on the street in 2nd gear.

Haha no worries man. I owned a SRT-4 and I gave that trash away for a real car. 2004 Evo. On my SRT-4 the minute I put on just the cold air intake my warranty went bye bye. So I got pissed and max out the car. Even with good tunning ang and all the huppla I got smoked by my budy in his 320WHP Evo from a roll. My car only lasted few months and that piece of rubish broke down on me and I said the hell with it. But once again you could beat him with your eyes closed and driving in reverse you should have no problem from a roll. Shift good and you got him. Let us know when you going to do it and the result.

You will take him easily @ the track as long as there are equal drivers.
I think you could take him from a roll 30-110 also.

Maybe he has more than 3k in it but doesn't want to tell you. I think he wished he had the money to buy an evo.

He has an ebay kit on there if he only spent 3k a 57trim turbo non ball bearing. Maybe he is spraying and if that is the case will blow it up at the track trying to catch up.

Take him for a ride in yours and he will shut up.
I saw one at the track modded to the gills and he only ran a 12.7 then on the (i think he had a 60 trim) next run he ran a 100 shot and blew his motor all over the track...

You don't need to brake boost to beat him...
