Whats the most gas you have put into your car?
I gas-up when my empty-light stays on, from which point it usually takes 12 gallons. Has anyone run their evo dry and does it really take 14 gallons to fill it?
The reason I ask is because I want to know if I really have 2 whole gallons left in there.

I honestly do not look at how much is going into the car. I just fill it till it stops. Are you really bored or something? This is kind of a lame question. What is the difference?

I think his question is "when the light goes on, do I still have 2 gallons to drive on?" I've actually run out of gas, when I first had my AFR gauge which blocks my fuel gauge, before I was used to checking it when I got in my car. The problem was I didn't fill it all the way up, since I didn't have my wallet, I only put in the $10 I had in my pocket.
The thing is, I don't think that it totally is drained ever, in other words the fuel pump doesn't "scrape the bottom" as it were. When there is no longer gas being delivered, there's still some gas in the tank. I don't know about 2 gallons, but you should try it if you're really that curious (although I wouldn't)...

13.7 Gals the lowest i let it go.
Average usuall 13.4 gals cause i like to keep the car light and efficient
when the needle is 2 mm under the empty line you have roughly under 10 miles left.

When driving on the interstate my wife tends to panic (pregnant women have a tendency to get worked up about nothing) when the guage starts to get low. I just wanted to know how much further I could safetly go. (I generally fill up before the light comes on, but sometimes you cant).
