Window TInt Recommendations

I want to tint my windows but not sure what to go with. Should I go with 20% on the back wind shield and 35% on the sides or 20% all around. I live in So cal not sure about the laws here. I dont want the sun to mess up the nice seats, now that summer is here. Thanks for your time.

Well, I live in San Diego and Cali laws say you cannot have ANY tint no matter how light on the front windows. I had 20% in the back and 40% in the front and was given a fix-it ticket within a matter of 6mo.

Now that summer is coming up, I'll prob re-tint the front again, but probably one shade above clear! Sux, we're the sunshine state, but can't tint the windows!

Whats the lightest? I looked at the tint laws and it says that front tints are allowed if you have at least 85% of light going through.

Go 35% all around; it looks CLASSY. I hate when people go limo on rears/light tint on fronts..looks SO tacky. Tint should look even, not progressively darker/lighter.

ps. limo tint went out in the 80's.

I have 32% I believe which is weird because everyone talks about having 35%. The rear is being retinted from 22% to 8 . My passanger windows are being doubled up to help cut down the visibility through the back side windows. The 35% looks classy but, in certain situations the tint will almost dissapear. i think the fronts and rears look good when they are the same, thats why im doubling the two rear side windows up instead of going darker and having the two constrast with the fronts. Just make sure to go more then 1 shade darker on the very back window. It`s nice to have a smooth transition instead of just limo tinting the 3 back windows which is always an option

limo is like 5% or smoked tint, higher % you go, lighter it gets, lower % you go, darker it gets

its the same citation whether the tint on the car is 35% or 5%.

go as dark as you want, and when you get pulled over pay the $40 bucks to have it put back on.

i have 5% all around and couldnt be happier.
