Cops with nothing to do are pulling people over in San Mateo County: New Info

Ok, so how many of you guy's have seen or been a victim? This weekend a cop saw me parked in the parking lot of Best Buy in Colma and pulls right behind me. I was already out of my car and he tells me to go back in and roll down my windows. I asked him what is this all about? He said, " you have a modify car." So I was thinking in my head, so you see me parked here and you decided to trap me and now cite me for a modified car! He then says," what do you expect you look like a racer with the spoiler and rims". I told him you have to be kidding, right? He say's I just finish watching the six hour video on modified cars and by law section bla bla bla, I have the right to cite you for any illegal modifications." Next he tells me to give him my keys. I told no way I'm just going to hand you my key's when, in no way am I engaged in any illegal activity. He then calls for back up and a motocycle cop pulls in. I get in to a seperate conversation with the motocycle cop and he was a cool cat but needless to say my car was searched. I have small and useless fix-it issues like front lisense plate and headers that I've been meaning to take out anways. So at the end the dumba$$ cop not the motocycle cop, he added and said that "I don't know why you guy's always give me a hard time?" So, I reply back with " what the hell did you just say", " what do you mean by YOU GUY'S?" I also told him " so how are you not profiling me with that satment?" He then says, " Mr. Shaw, look your going on what 30yrs old now and your driving this car." Now I'm really pissed and I told him right in front of the other officer you need to shut up and get on your way with some other business because you have not once said anything right." Anyways, this is my recent story and I would like to hear others if you've been in this situation or good advise if you have any. I have a month to fix my issues with my car and see the State Ref to sign-off on the ticket.

Cops are worthless and CA is a communist state...

The only thing they can do that most people can't is carry a gun. In Oregon I can carry a gun so they are useless to me.

i had a dumbass situation happen to me 2 weeks ago too. not for the same thing but similar, in that - COPS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO than to hassle innocent people.

this is what i got a ticket for:

tint "too dark" in the front, headlights too "blue" (fyi - these "too blue" lights are my HIDs), and no front license plate, although i don't even have a plate on in the rear!!! its a F*CKIN NEW CAR!!!!!

COP: "Your bumper doesn't have holes. The dealer sold you a car that wasn't street legal."

"Your front tint is still lighter than your rear. Your rear tint is like limo tint." FYI - i have the same tint all around, which is actually the 2nd lightest shade (out of 4 shades).

"Your dealer sold you illegal parts because they know you'll pay for it. You should take this ticket to them and have them fix it all for free!"

"Do me a favor. Turn on your car and gas it a bit."

"We go to school for these lights."
....

...

.

i have nothing more to say. the south bay aint any better. i feel ya.

SF-Peninsula area is cracking down on modified cars. It was on the local news. Said they would be stopping modded cars for "probable cause", to stop street racing.

CA is a perfect example of what would happen if liberals were free to make all the laws they want.

You guys should seriously carry around some recording device of some sort...just a voice recorder if nothing else. Preferrably a camcorder...post this **** BS on the evening news, send it to internal affairs, online, everything. Hearsay carries no weight.

Man the west coast scares me...it's becoming a communist country all it's own over there.

What a dumbass! I've been "pulled over" a few times like that. I was sitting on my bike, on campus with another fellow rider and here comes highway patrol. He checks both of our paper work and says "I'm sick and tired of you people running from me" "The next time, I'm not going to be so nice" Mind you, we were in class all day. I challenged the officer to check our engines. I told him "Touch our motors, Do they feel warm at all? If we just ran from you, you would feel heat coming from these motors!" He refused after I asked him numerous times to do so. He then wrote down all our info and drove off.

And who cares if you are almost 30 years old? You should be able to drive whatever the **** you want!

I carry a Mitsubishi Evo IX full color brochure in my car so that if I get pulled over, I can show the cop that everything on the car is 100% stock.

You know there was a place where you were required to always carry your documentation or you would be hassled by the police...it was called Communist Russia. Now they are free, what happened to us?
