torco race fuel review

I recently bought some Torco race fuel additive to test it on the car.
They come in 32oz cans and can be bought for around $80 for six bottles.

I put 13 gal of premium in and put one can of Torco race fuel additive.
After driving about a mile letting the gas mix with the additive I did some acceleration tests.

The first thing I noticed was how the car ran a bit smoother. Was it just in my head??
Next thing I did was check the boost levels.
As I was doing full acceleration I was keeping an eye on the boost gauge to see if there are any changes.
It seems to hold boost longer at a more consistant rate.
Boost wasnt dropping off fast as it did before.
Another thing I noticed was that I am getting slightly better gas mileage too.

I just had a 240mile drive and the gas tank meter is reading that I have a 1/4 tank left.
Keep in mind that I was boosting fairly often to test the gas mileage.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the results but the cost of the fuel additive is what is going to hurt my wallet in the long run.

For those who track their car (drag/ road racing), I really think this is a nice alternative to using even more expensive race gas.

They claim that by adding a can of the additive to 10 gal of 93 oct gas, it raises the octane to 104 octane.

I did not do a dyno test but it seemed like the car pulled harder and held boost more consitanly.

Is it worth the $13 a bottle for everyday driving? Probably not.
But, I would really recommend you guys try this product for those who does a lot of road course/drag race.

Please note: I do not work for this company/have connection with them in any way.
Just thought I'd give this a try and was pretty happy with the product.

Good stuff. I've used it on an off for a couple years. Convenient and reasonably economical. I'm a big fan of running higher octane in the Evo, and the benefits are as you described. You can run pump gas during the week and add a few ounces per gallon on the weekend, turn up the boost and rock on. I have been experimenting with some other fuel additives lately. There is one called Sport Compact, runs about $9 and you add to 8 gallons. Might be more cost effective. Not quite as flexible as the Torco Acclerator though.

Yeah, I was actually surpised by the results.

I never really thought those additives works.

Kind of a plesant surprise.

Do you think it will have any negative effects on the o2 sensor if I used this product for a prolonged period of time?

torco makes quality products but the type of gas you run should have nothing to do with how your car holds boost. That is a function of RPM & load.

If that is correct, I stand corrected.

Maybe it was just my head playing games with me but it definatley made the car run better, pull a bit better and gave me better fuel economy.

it's cheaper to buy the 5 gallon jug for $130 bucks, but the accelerator kicks ***.
