I installed mine last summer and it helps fend the water splash to a certain degree. The right rear flap I installed was actaully touching the exhaust, I had to cut a piece off of it because I don't want the exhaust to melt into it.

I really like mine. They definitely keep the paint behind the tires protected from rocks and road grime. I just wish the rear had a little more adjustment. Without modification, they won't align parallel to the ground. Plus they stick out a little to far in the rear if you ask me. I'll probably make the mounting slots longer or trim the outside edges.
