b4Ifly,

I give you all the credit for originality.. . Don't feel strange bro, you did a mod that makes you stand out among other Evos. If you like it that is what it counts.

Here is a little secret, I almost bought a roof scoop on my WRX once so don't feel discourage.

As per leaving it and cutting the roof?, leave it like that for a few days then think about it and ask people if they like it. you might not want to drill the roof just in case you don't like it..

Not my cup of tea at least, but man if you like it more power to you!
It is a cosmethic accent.. Cmon, lets give the guy a break. Off course we already know it is wisely use for rally cars but he does it more for looks although he has plans on making it funtional which I don't see nothing wrong with that.

I give him props for originality.

Some people forget that this car wasn't always about the 1320.

I think if it's functional then it's a legitimate mod.

how are the rear window vents gonna look? im all for it if it's functional. If it were me, I'd have a setup where i could close the vents to keep the outside air out of the car when i want

I think roof scoops are cool, but not that one IMO. It looks too "add-on". I would think the only way it would look great if it was integrated into the roof, like if you bought a whole new roof that had one (which I'm sure doesn't exist) or took your car to a body shop and had something custom done. I'm sure this would be quite an expense and not worth doing just for a roof scoop, but that's the only way I would think it would look good. But that's just me.

But roof scoops are cool.

I've seen this car in person at some of the Chicago meets. The pictures really don't do it justice. At first glance, it may not seem great. Once you see it in person, however, it really looks sick. He's rocking the Ralliart thing really well.

The scoop looks really out of place right now, but bear in mind that it's not properly secured or molded. I think that once it's nicely molded into the roofline and painted, it will look really subtle, but sick. Do it right and it will look nice.

PM me if you need someone who can paint and mold. I know a guy who did the work on my car and is really awesome. Keep it original, bro!
