OBD scanner, buying one..suggestions?
I recently got a Service Engine Soon light due to my test pipe, and want to clear it..i know there are much easier and cheaper ways, but i thought i might as well buy a OBD scanner to check other interesting data...
I checked a few companies, digimoto and pocketlogger, but seems that people have had problems with the digimoto, and that the pocketlogger is only compatible with Palm OS..
Anyone who uses a Pocket PC use an OBD software/company that is good?
Also, i read somewhere that the 05's (which i have) have the OBDIII system (never even knew there was one out) any new software that runs for those?
i know some companies offer 0-60, MAF, estimated hp, etc..such cool features.
tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated as to i dont want to waste $150 on something that wont later work... PC version recommendations would be cool too..
Thanks..

OBDIII?
I've never heard of that.
I have an 05 and purchased/use that pocketlogger software to datalog.
It can check codes and clear them - I'd say get whatever you feel like getting

I can probably think of other things to spend $150 on but whatever floats your boat. It could be beneficial if you have a lot of mods and want to read all the values for tuning purposes

What i'm worried about is that when i clear the SES code (and after i've checked and made sure that its the code for the catalytic malfunction etc...whatever it is) that there may be something wrong with my engine where the SES may have to come on to warn me, but i have already switched it off...
My question is: if i clear the code for my test pipe installation error (you got what im tryin to say) will it clear just that code, or all SES lighting (if they were to ever light up again.)
check this out: Ebay OBDII Diagnostic Software
very cheap, but that is my concern...seems to do lotsa good tho..
