All that went wrong was the Norwalk Raceway seems to think drag racing is like a form of enduro style lap to lap event
I had just finished going 150 mph in 90 degree heat - I drive all the way around to the staging lanes and have to go right back up to the line without even a minute for my coolant to come back to normal temps
While waiting for the RWD drag I was to race in the semi final to do his extended burn out my car spilt a bit of coolant out of the radiator catch can
If they had given us even 10 or 15 minutes between passes to let the cars cool down a bit I would have been fine
In any event I could care less about the whole fiasco as I went 9.7 and when and if I make it back to the track I am sure that there is a lot more left in the tune up !
Main thing for me was to improve up my previous best time which is the main reason why i mod my car
Thanks for the great shots

Al,
Yeah your car did awesome, i had a feeling you might of been able to beat that 9.7 time your car was VERY fast. Well good job anyways, and yes they should of gave you more time.

I love the vid of Emery in the blue Evo getting so pissed the clutch was locking him out of gears that he hit the brakes while trying to catch 4th gear and ran 11.9 at 113 LOL.

I normally run 47 psi of boost in 4th gear
on the 9.7 pass I was at 38 psi
The next 9.9 @ 150 mph was at 40 psi
The run they DQ'd me on would have been at 42 psi
I will have to wait to see if and when I run the car to see what the potential is
