From: City O Sin, MA...the not so sinish part though...
depends on the area/cop. highway you can get away with 75 all day around me. but inner city, especially school/work zones, 45 in a 35 could be pushin it.

What in the world is this?? I just got a ticket last night written for 80mph in a 60mph zone. I've talked to lawyers all day, and they have never mentioned anything like this. Can someone give me some more info please!! If I don't get this ticket off my record, I won't be able to afford insurance anymore

i find that 5 to 7 is usually allowed unless the cop is a dick... anything over that and you are not doing well... over 10 they get in your booty, 8 or 9 and it always gets dropped in court to something less important. the highway you can get 9 or so... go get a radar detector... that also helps you out quite a bit

I believe that. I knew it had to be BS. My ticket was actually written for 80mph in a 65mph zone. But on the cops "notes" on the tickets, he circled 88 because that's what he clocked me at. So he dropped it 8mph....and I just need it dropped 1 more mph to not go on my record or insurance. Do you think the court will drop it 1mph if I take it to trial?

Tickets suck! I got my first a few weeks ago and now I have to go to trial next week. But I guess when you get radared at 103 in a 55 youre gonna have that. Just sucks because I was out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but farm land and stuff. Never expected a state cop to be hiding back on this dirt road.....Anyway, good luck man...

If you are good with soldering splice a wire between speed sensor
and instrument cluster and install a YellowBox. ($100) It will divide a pulse frequency (adjustable) so speedometer will show 45 while in fact you do 60.
Have a shop with a 4wheel dyno give you a written speedometer test resuls (another $100) . Take it to court and motion the judge to amend the charge to "broken speedometer". $25 ticket and NO points.

Gave me the crap that I am lucky that he will not give me a ticked for my illegal tail lights and exhaust witch ofcourse are stock. We do get singled out! Oh well. am gonna fight my ticked!
