Battery reset....now slow??

I don't know if it's all in my head or not. I did just buy a new bike, so that could be part of it. But anyways, my mechanic reset my battery when reinstalling my mbc. I have read that this will reset the ECU. I bought the car used and thought I had a flash. I do have cams. Would the flash be gone now? Do I need to teach the ECU? Any help would be appreciated.....thanks.

flash is still there, ecu needs time to relearn. or that the settings on the mbc are low.

I set it back to 20-21psi peak. How long will it take for the ecu to "re-learn" itself? Any suggestions on driving a particular way?

according to vishnu brake boosting will speed up the learn process. cruise in 4th gear at around 3500-4000 rpm. hit the brakes, but at the same time, the gas making sure you dont speed up or slow down and that you are in full boost. do it a number of times for about 5 seconds.

Full boost with brakes on in 4th? Wierd, but I will try. I'm about to go to Atlanta in a minute....any other quick suggestions. What is the longest this "learning process" might take?

takes maybe a day... probably less... i prefer obdII resets...with battery resets if any codes are in the system they remain...idle.

Mitsu ECU doesn't learn like Subaru or some other ECU. it will only change long term fuel trim. And that is just for part throttle or crusing.... not for WOT.
if you flashed it for stock boost controller, you have to change your flash for MBC. You are probably out of tune.
Battery reset doesn't affect anything at WOT.

i agree. when the ecu "learns" you really wont feel a difference. i have reset my ecu over 50 times in the couple of months i have had the car, and never felt a difference between each reset.
with my brother sti, resetting the battery really affects initial performance. after reset, the ecu will boost at 15psi (with accessport) and then take a couple of hundred miles to hit 17psi.

I didn't flash it for stock boost. I just had the stock boost lines put in temporarily, then the mbc back in. When the mbc was put back in, that's when the battery was reset. When you say "out of tune", do you mean my flash is gone??

but you wont need a tune for a mbc. when dynoflash flashes someone with a mbc, he doesn't touch the boost settings except he increases boost cut value
