What do you think of running NOS?
I have a 05 Evo 8, I have a stage 5 kit from Buschur Racing with 272 Intake and Exhaust cams, NO turbo upgrade. Pushing 20PSI. I want to be faster, I am only getting a 12.9 in the quarter, that is my fastest time... The question is...
What do you think of NOS?
What do you think is a safe amount?
Would you suggest something else?
Just want to be faster... not insane amount just down in the 11's would be nice

Okay, i was thinking about it; maybe he meant to say 11.9, and he wants lower 11 second passes.(?)
So in that case, i don't know anything about nitrous so somebody should enlighten us.

WOW i knew that someone would say work on my driving but for everyone to say it. Ok here we go
1. I do have a different clutch, I put in 2 months ago an Exedy twin disc racing clutch from Buschur Racing, and a Buschur Racing short throw shifter and I have been doing 1/4 mile racing for 2 years now. So tell me what I am doing wrong. The 12.9 was damn near perfect except a little slow on my reaction time.
Here is a copy of my time slip.

I do believe NOS is dangerous, but I also believe that I want a faster car. I honestly dont know what i am doing wrong. Maybe the thread should have been called " People that have Evo's, please help me go faster or figure out what i am doing wrong!"

What the hell is BR Stage 5? Youre telling me you have an 05 EVO with full exhaust, cams, intake, FMIC, piping, and 381whp and you pulled a 12.9@106? People run 106mph with a turboback exhaust on 2003s.

are you not flooring it down the track. you managed to cut a 1.83 60' but only trapped 83. Your clutch cant be that jacked up, if you pulled a 1.83 60'.

maybe he cant shift through the higher gears, or he could use a serious tune.
dont worry im confused too...NOS..he musta just watched tokyo drift.
i dont own an evo but with those mods he should be trapping around 115-120. am i wrong.
