Breaking In Cams?

i didnt break in my cams when i put them in, i got 272/272 buddy clubs and as soon as i had checked my oil level after the install me and a couple friends went and beat it like a red headed step child around the nieghborhood

Yes there should be a break in period here is how u do it after install
1 get ready for ur head to fly back into the seat
2 get ready for the bigest smile of all time
3 make sure u don't crap your self because this evo will be a hole new beast
4 realize how lucky u are to own a evo
that is it good luck with them there a blast to have makes the evo a new beast

I don't know about Japanese cars, but with American cars a lot of people advise applying a cam breakin lube such as, Comp Cams Breakin Lube, or TORCO MPZ assembly lube to the lobe faces and bearing surfaces. I'd think that dry startup is critical as damage can occur in the moments before the oil pump fills the filter and pumps oil up into the head. Maybe I'm just a worry wart though!
