my 1600 strait mile drive in my evo
well i started my drive to cali to ship my car home to hawaii a couple days back. i am in vegas for the night then heading to long beach at 530 am, I drove the first 500 miles on different highways and the last 1100 on I40 through texas, new mexico, az and nevada. that 1100 strait miles sucked . not having cruise was alright for the first 8 hours after that it kinda sucked . I know for sure that oklahoma has the worst roads i have ever been on, and ive been to every state. i also noticed that our a/c like everyone says sucks when it is really hot I did get great gas milage though in the high 20's the whole way, i did not see a single evo until i got to vegas i have saw two so far . I also want to thank the tech's at courtousy(sp) imports ( ) for giving me a hand when my car acted up they took a look and were very good about it . well another 5 and a half hours tomorrow then im hanging in l/a if anyone is out there shoot me a pm, ill be there friday and sat nights

I just travelled 200 miles all highway and managed to click off 25mpg, my all time high! Mitsu A/C's have never been great. Hard to dial in to less cool when it's not that cold, even harder to get ice cold when it's blazing hot outside! I'm heading for the window tint in 2 weeks to prepare for the summer.

It's really not unsafe, atleast when i did several days in a row of 14 hour straight driving - NY to south beach to san diego. You do get into a zone, but you're not delirious by any means. If that is your break in period, that is kinda rough though, hopefully you were up and down on the revs.
