sorry for your loss man

with 13k any car that is worth getting (performance oriented) will probably be gone faster than ur Evo if u dont have a garage to park ur car in.....u should probably move out of that area or move to a house with usable garage before u get another car like the Evo...

good luck man. hope the ****er that stole ur car will be found and raped by elephants.

For those who think lojack is a good idea... The vast majority of thefts around here (NYC area) are gang joyrides. The LAST thing you want after those kids are done with your car is get it back. The theft deterrent/prevention device you get should focus on stopping the vehicle from being driven away in the first place.

+1

Anyone in here know how to get around an alarm with an igniton kill or even the time required to do so. Maybe a few out of the thousands of people on this forum. Alarms help when installed right. I really feel bad for this guy and i would feel even worse if the cops found the car with 8G's in damage because then the insurance would fix it and he would have to drive it. That sucks. I do wish him the best of luck.

Maybe we should invest in things like these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/FlexTrac-GPS-Car...QQcmdZViewItem

These can definately help recover our cars.

Sorry man that sucks BIG time.

If your phone is still in the car, can't it be tracked? Don't most phones have emergency GPS style junk these days?

I know what you mean, because honestly if my evo was stolen i would rather them total it so I can get a fresh untouched one. Who knows what they do to the cars .

Go on autotrader.com right now and look up ads for other 2005 Evo MRs. Note the asking prices, and print the ads out to show your insurance adjuster in order to demonstrate current market value of your car.

I thought I heard if you leave the keys in your vehicle or are responsible for the loss of the vehicle, you've made yourself more likely to lose your coverage. I know insurance companies can drop you at any time but this makes you more apt to be dropped. Sorry to hear about this. I had my first car stolen, stripped, and left at a truck stop 100 miles from where I lived.

I'm not sure if that is true or not, but I sure hope not. In this case the car was locked and secured the theifs broke the window in and found my keys.

I think I have gap insurance so hopefully yes the depreciation will be covered.

I agree also - I hope they dont find my car just because I dont want it after some jackass smashed in the window and then went joy riding. Hopefully somehow I can get enough money for an Evo9, although I highly highly doubt it

If you guys see Evo MR parts for sale from the Sacramento 916 area, please let me know. I will be on a lookout also.
