Just test drove a IX!!!!

OMG!!!! Thas all I have to say. I went to Stevens Creek Mitsu to show my wife the Evo, and I decided to test drive it. It was a GSR. All I have to say is that I fell in love with the car. I will pick mine up probably in August, but I will go through a broker. Now I know what Evo owners feel everyday!!!

Andrew.

I have seen their prices and I am impressed. But then there's transportation which I was quoted at $600.

Why go to a broker when you can go to the dealer and get the car for invoice or less? What you fail to realize is that a broker doesn't work for free. The broker gets it for their price, then they mark it up to cover their fees. By the time you are ready to buy, they will be blowing them to make room for the 07 model. South Coast is selling the GSR for like $27999.

Blowing who?

A 9 and BJ would be sweet but, not from my salesman. Maybe the secretary?

Hi guys this is my first post on the forums.

I went to test drive a IX today myself (after speaking to the sales droid on the phone).

I get there and they have about 7-8 IX's. 1 MR. I am with the wife. I go through the car. Inside and out.

Nice car.

Me: OK I need test drive:
Sales:NO. We dont sell evo's with miles on them. Huh ?
Me: I dont buy cars I can't test drive.
Sales: You cant get a test drive in a vette either.
Me: OK you drive it.
Sales: No they wont let us drive them either.

what you should know: I am 39, computer geek, make good money and didnt buy an evo ix in 04 because I couldnt get a td, bought an 04 WRX. So what gives.

I call mitsu USA when I get home. They have no zero mile policy. They told me to get names and file a complaint on wed.

This can't be typical right ?

Just go to a different dealer. When i went to test drive mine, they told me I needed to have a credit check run before they would take it out. I told them I didn't need a loan and my checkbook was in the car raring to go and they handed the keys and even offered to let me keep it over the weekend.

One test drive, actually two, was all it took me: I drove the EVO IX, then went down the road to the Subie dealer and drove the STI - game over.
Ordered an MR from Mark at S. Coast the next day...

IDK that I would want the secretary from the dealership I bought mine from to do it anymore than the sales guy. She was a creature.
