Doing the 20g9 from BR next week!
Can't wait... I've been debating the 20g and gt30/gt35 issue now for about 6 months. I finally decided I didn't want to go the BIG turbo route just yet. I think it gets a little expensive building the engine up to support it the right way, plus my car is my daily driver with two cars seats in the back. I know I'll hear other wise! One day I'll go big when I'm not fighting 20 miles of traffic each day to and from work and also when I can better afford it.
So, I'm doing the 20g9, upgrading from 264's to 272's, 02 housing & exhaust manifold, 780 injectors, alky, Excedy HD twin disk and tune. I'm hoping for at least 320 on BR's MD. I only got 263 last time I was there which was pretty disappointing. I think I've got a weak EVO! I think most people with my current mods from BR are around 280-290. Oh well, I'm hoping I made the right choice! I'll post some dyno results but I'm sure the cams, 02/mani will skew the results from the stock turbo to the 20g9 but should be interesting anyway!
Sorry for the length.. Anyone with the same setup have any feedback? What boost are you running with Alky?

Almost the exact same set-up and put down 354 on pump on Buschur's MD. Peaks at 30 psi and tapers to ~25-26. Pulls really hard all the way to redline.
I also dyno'd 267 w/ BR stage 1 before the recent mods.
You'll love it. I do.

Thanks for the feedback Dadriva! I'm hoping I'll love it. I don't expect to be anywhere close to you but If I get close, it will be a blast!

Don't get fixated on peak numbers. It's power under the curve which makes all the difference. My '05 has 3" TBE and EcuTek flash and dyno tune from Gruppe-S. It put down 253whp/268wtq IIRC but around town it pulls harder than my buddy's 2004 Evo that put down 272whp/267wtq on the same dyno. Power under the curve baby! Peak numbers are nice too but they're often forum fodder for those who want to yank their own chain.

Very true Turd. I'm hoping for a nice powerband so I have great street performance. I've heard the 20g9 has much more torque down low so I'm looking forward to that as well.
I still wouldn't mind having a peak whp # around the 320/330 on BR's MD. You know that's a lot of power on their dyno considering it's been a heartbreaker for a lot of folks including myself.

If this is so, then I am going with the 20G which is the same as the White Rabbit from WORKS correct?
