Insurance on high dollar evos?
All you guys that have highly tuned Evos, what do you do for insurance? I want to street drive mine so I got a stated value quote from my insurance company and my insurance pretty much doubled. Is there a better way to go?

in my opinion you dont really need to insure your mod investment. if you total your car, odds are you are going to be able to pull pretty much everything off the car. unless its on fire or some ****. then at that point i would be too glad that im alive to worry about the mods in my car lol
I use allstate and im paying $23 a month for full coverage including uninsured and theft on my evo. but i also have home insurance thru them and 5 other cars on the policy so i get breaks from them.

Hmm I'm at 134 a month with 2 cars, full coverage. I think that if you keep all your receipts then you will be close to being all set. I know of people who had accidents or things stolen and had original receipts, they almost recouped all the parts monies. The problem with me is... buying most of the stuff 2nd hand and no cost for labour. That leaves me in a bind. Insurance will take it if I get the car appraised, and pay a little more. I'm happy now that the Evo is going to remain mostly stock (except for a few engine mods) I will be more than happy to upgrade to a newer year if it gets totalled or stolen
