the point of the valet map is so that they can drive and park your car/service your car/ wash and wax... not an anti theft device, so immobilizer issues arent going to help... it is to keep them from taking your car 150 down the street while you are eating... if they cant build boost, if they cant go above 3000 rpm, it keeps your car safe from that

I understood the point of a valet map, i was suggesting a seperate anti-theft map for those of us that park our cars on the street or in a large apartment complex parking lot at night. Being that the evo is the #2 most stolen vehicle, it couldn't hurt to program a map that will make the car undriveable. Obviously there are ways around the immobilizer, but if the ecu tune is totally jacked up, the only way to steal the car at that point is to tow it.

Right... but it's just not practical.
1. you have to flash the ecu everytime you drive the car
2. you need a laptop with you at all times
3. you have to flash the ecu everytime you park the car
A hidden kill switch would be WAY easier.

Yeah, I won't argue that it'd be a PITA to do this all the time, but like you said, a kill switch would be way easier, also way easier to bypass. If a thief can get past the immobilizer, he'll surely get past your "hidden kill switch". If there was a way to easily switch between multiple maps via a password, this would be the way to go though.

Then again you could set up a shift point light to a switch controling a spark plug wire into the driver seat bottom. Go over 4k and spark your nads, that would make you lift.
