Fan Control
Is the on and off cycling of the Evo's radiator fan controlled via the ECU? I remember that with my 80's GM car the fan was contolled by the ECU. And thus, the coolant temp at which the fan clicks on could be specified in the flash or "chip".
For example on my Buick since I had installed a 160* thermostat the chip burner programmed the fan to click on at 165* and I think he set the fan to turn off once the car reached 45 mph. Can this sort of tinkering with the radiator fan's on/off parameters be achieved on an Evo? Or is it beyond the tuner's control?
