Jerking clutch/drivetrain on low rpm's, need some feedback.
Ok, my evo rs is stock except a catback and 22,000 miles. Whenever I startup the car in the morning I let it Idle for about a minute and then I take off to work. I do, however, have a problem. When I start moving in first gear at about 2,000 rpm's or below I get this insane clutch or drivetrain jerking, and I can hear it go all the way to the back to the rear diff. To stop this weird vibration i just step on the clutch. This happens all the time when my car is cold but even sometimes when my car is warmed up. It doesnt happen when I rev higher, like from 3,000 rpms.
So has anyone else experienced this in their evo? I have a stock clutch btw.
Should I just rev higher when i move in first gear and forget about this jerking motion? Should I have the dealer check it out? Feedback is appreciated.

no, I may not have interpreted what you said correctly, but a lean condition in the start off load cells will make your car jerky. The quick fix is to engage the clutch and get it more gas.
sort of like starting out and the engine just dies off and then bounces back, dies off and, again and again till you creep out of those cells.
you are correct I didn't read the post right, but without any real mods, why wouldn't you take the car back?

This sounds like a somewhat common "clutch shudder" issue that the EVO VIII has. Since you are in NC, you will probably notice it a lot on cool, humid mornings. Mine had the same problem. It goes away after everything gets warmed up.
The only solution I found was to back off and try again (revving higher helped).
For the record, I had the exact same problem on my 3G Eclipse, which I believe may share some parts with the EVO.
