3065 vs BB 50 Trim vs 35R
Which turbo would be better suited to make 500WHP. I am trying to decide between the 3 turbos. I don't really plan on running an EMS. I do however plan on running race gas or Meth. I have always wanted a 35R but I'm not sure about the lag.

Lag is over rated. Seriously if you are looking for a 500WHP car you will have to deal with some lag. Either way with the right computer management that lag won't even be noticeable during a 1/4 mile pass. With stutter box, antilag, and NTLS a big turbo doesn't get a chance to drop out of its sweet spot.

antilag obliterates turbo's. its more so used for rally racing to have an advantage on your oponent. since they have big bucks for sponsored races its all gravy when that stuff goes.

The first question I would like to ask is.... What is your main goal / use going to be with the car?
I love my 3065 on the street and at the track. It really is a great street/strip turbo! We sell alot of 3065 kits and everyone that is running them has had nothing but good things to say about it. I personally would chose and/or recommend the 3065 over a 50trim.
As for the lag..... I noticed it when I first changed over from the stock turbo to the 3065 but now its not even an issue because i'm used to the car. The lag everyone is concerned with really isnt that bad. My car is making 20psi around 4400rpm and full boost around 4700.
My car on 29psi and C16 put down 462whp on our Mustang dyno with a very conservative tune. I am still running the stock block, stock head, stock intake manifold and stock throttlebody. The other modifications done to my car are our stages 1-4 w/ HKS 272 cams, AEM EMS and a Exedy Twin HD Clutch. On straight 94 octane my car put down 342hp on 22-23psi.
The best pass my car has made at the track is 11.04@128mph. My car is still full weight, running on 18" Volks w/ BFG KDW 2's, running in 92 degree heat with a spinning 1.74 60'.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask.

Back on topic.... I would say the 35R is the most popular.

jrod, can your 3065 kit run off the stock ecu or do you need an aem ems to tune it?
what about ecutek or some type of piggy back? I don't really want to get an aem ems for OBDII compliant reasons here in houston
