Reverse brake squealing.
Hi, I have a issue with my brakes in reverse. I searched for the answer but came up with nothing but if it's been asked sorry.
When I reverse it sqeauks like my old DSMs. I know DSMs had that issue, but Evo's do too?
It doesnt happen when its cold, only when the brakes get warmed up..
Is this normal? Should I bring it back to the dealer?
Another thing i'm experiencing is when my brakes have warmed up, under almost any load of braking my driver side front wheel brakes sqeauk loudly. I think the rotor is warped, all other sides of the brakes are fine except that one side.
I have a 2006 IX GSR w/ 4700miles. I havent beaten the crap out of the car or road raced it. I don't drive slow, but I don't drive that aggressive either.
Thanks for your help guys!

so just get some brake cleaner and spray the rotor?
i've already done that with the wheels off. I just sprayed the rotor though.

do you think changing my pads will fix it? I hate that squeaking noise, i'll put up with it if i'm running race pads. But these are stock pads, screw that!

but ultimately, the higher you go in performance, the more squeaking you'll get. performance pads have metallic pad composition which allows them to achieve better braking...

They are supposed to squeak. These are high performance pads and that's why they cost a lot more than just getting generic pads at your local Autozone or Napa. No matter how hard you try, your brake pads will sqeak. It is a fact of owning a high performance vehicle. If you are really that irritated then put some extra lubricant on your shims and all metal parts that touch. That should prevent furthur noise, but it will come back, especially under heavy braking.

I don't mind squeaking brakes as long as they are high performance pads. BUT, these pads suck. Rotors and Calipers are great, but the pads totally suck..
Sucky Pads + Squeaking = bad.
High Performance Pads + Squeaking = okay!
