Installing TBE, Intake & bov

Today once I get off work I will be installing my TBE, Short ram intake and bov.
I was wondering if there is anything else I should do while im installing these items because I wont have a chance to get the car tuned for at least a week or two.
When I used to drive a wrx after any new mods you are suppost to reset the ecu by disconnecting the neg. side of the battery terminal and pumping the brakes to get rid of any remaining charge then drive fairly hard for the first few miles after that.
Should I do anything like this?

Just leave the intake off the car until you get tuned. It will do nothing but make noise and throw off the MAF readings.

You won't need to reset the ECU, and pumping the brakes if fun-e. =D

The pumping brakes thing is a subaru thing...My friend did that once or twice and it seemed to work, but I do not beleive the same applies for the Evo. (have not tried)

well obviously if you are being tuned, either dyno or road, you need the intake on... its not going to hurt you to run the car with it on, as long as you reset the ecu first. as far as the brake thing, that is pretty much every car in the world... when disconnecting your battery there is still some juice in the car... i usually try and crank it, that sucks out everything in there... then if you feel like it, hit the brakes, but its pointless.......

after adding the TBE you might experience your boost to spike some, sometimes in a dangerous way, get your self a MBC so you dont have to worry.
