heres a pic of the back of the boost guage thing. keep in mind you will need a bit more room unless your vacuum hose has a 90 degree bend in it. also attached is the red and white lights side by side. i know thse are vdo and not stewart werner but you get the idea.
edit: cant really see the numbers but its right at about 3 inches deep. btw i dont drive around with mix matched guages. just put the red in to show you.

You should also get the tubing, whicih you have linked to above.

I ordered the red LED (not the amber), and it matches well at night.

Their website can be confusing, but order these three things and you're set:
Gauge
Tubing
Red LED

You can get fuel tubing from Autozone for cheaper, but the tubing from 42DD fits the gauge perfectly.

As for a mounting pod, I can't remember where I got mine.
Im just curious- how do you know your boost gauge is more accurate than your friends? Did you hook it up to their car and it gave a different reading than theirs or something?

the one package comes with the guage and the wiring stuff for the light. but you needed to order the 8' tubing kit or the other tubing kit. it looks like the 8' comes with tubing, t-fitting and the push fit thing.

What are the major diffs between Autometer and Stewart Warner gauges?
Has anyone fitted Autometer guages to the 42DD triple gauge panel?

I was thinking Nexus or Phantom II gauges with the 42DD panel. $ is kinda steep for the Nexus though...

For an EGT gauge, is there a preference towards the 1600 degree versus the 200 degree?

I bought my SW gauge from the same friend that ditched his Autometer gauge because he couldn't get an accurate reading from the Autometer. He sold me his SW when he went with a Defi setup.

I helped him install his first Autometer gauge, and the tubing they give you for the boost line is a joke. It's about 1mm in diameter and is hard as hell (not pliable). The line that comes with the SW gauge is much more useable.

I was reading this and realized you made a smart *** comment without answering the question....

the question is DOES IT MATTER that you don't have vacuum readings? Would it hinder you not to have it?
