I don't know which I loathe more - the artificial-feeling environment courtesy of A/C or sitting in a box with all the windows rolled up. I only run A/C on the hottest days when my children are in the car. Outside of that, I roll the windows down and enjoy the drive.

It's worse when it gets humid, like the last 3 weeks in SoCal. It feels like the freakin South.

i hear ya, over here down south florida, you need the A/C on all the time. i usually just ride with it on during the afternoons when i drive it to work. at night the windows are down and im enjoying the cruise. but yea down here you usually constantly need A/C except when night hits.

I'd die if I didn't use my A/C in florida with the bloody humidity and heat - Use it every day in the summer, on max recirculate for at least 50% of my commute.

I use my AC all the time, I tend to play with it, ON and OFF when doing some accerlation on the hiway though.

I did not notice any power loss when I start using it like the first few time but then lately I did noticed some big power loss and some engine whines noises.

Try not to use it for the most part to save gas. I try to just roll down the windows. But it sucks when it's hot and you're sitting at a stoplight. So I break down every now and then or if my wife's with me.

I just found out about MAX A/C. I turned the knob all the way to the left and heard a "click." I thought I broke the thing only to find out that it points to MAX A/C. Then I found out it just puts the air on recycle.

try to avoid if its 80F and below, mostly due to stalling and not idling well at stoplights.

I actually get better gas mileage with my A/C on... 25-26mpg, as oppose to the A/C off... 20-21mpg.
