yeah, I was using a heavy greddy knob and switched back to the stock leather after nearly branding "YΔΔЭЯఎ" on my hand!

I live in South Texas where summer lasts 9 months. I shift using the base of the shifter until the metal ball itself has time to cool down.
I believe there is a part number for a stock 6spd leather shift knob

I found this guy when I had my miata. I got a custom metal voodoo engraved by him and the knob glove as he calls it.
