Pm sent. Oh, guess what! I did break my TC....launched the car on a concrete bridge and when the front tires came back to the ground something had to give. Put a helical in and no problems since.
And guess what the guy I raced that day still lost and he is the one that told me the front came up and is also the same person who now has it on his car.

the like of motec standalones have some very intresting features like anti-lag and launch control. there are two types of launch control i have seen. one is the proper ***** out anti-lag ones and the other is a 2step.
personaly, although a 2step might work for drag racing, it wont help anywhere else! what a 2step does is when you are stationary and in gear it will set a fake rev limit that you can normally adjust. once you hit that limit it basicall CUTS the ignition. this puts some load on the engine and helps make boost!
now a proper system like the rally gusy use is diffrent! they run anti-lag, with launch control. anti-lag work by RETARDING the timing not cutting it! this means you still load the engine but also the turbo is hit by the still burn exhaust gasses. basically like hitting the turbo with a bat! lol
this give really good boost on the line.
also you cna use the antilag when you come off the throttle bettween shifts to keep the turbo spooled.
hope this helps
Chris.

There is no "fake rev limit".
A 2 step from the ECU is a fuel cut and not an ignition cut.
It does not put any load on the engine.
Hitting a turbo with a bat would not make it spool up either.
