Who says they aren't selling?

Besides, $60k M3 and a $35k Evo is a completely different market. Plus people knew the new M3 was coming out within months (not a year plus like the evo) and had a V8 instead of a inline-6.

I've been keeping a vigilant watch over Evo inventories at my local dealers in the Philly and NJ areas since April. And Evo IX stock has been increasing steadily all summer. More interesting is that the majority of the Evos sitting on lots in my area are the Evo MRs. The regular IX is actually much harder to find around here than an MR. Given the large volume of MRs that are currently languishing on dealer lots around here for months, I'd have to think that discounts are imminent.

are these numbers everyone is quoting the price they paid "out the door?" There is typically a large difference.

Yeah same thing in the midwest area, Omaha & Kansas City area have more MRs than anything else, Metro Mitsu here in Omaha got one regular IX and then they got a IX RS and 3 MRs. Kansas City I think also got like 2 or 3 MRs unusual activity with mitsubishi, Im thinking this is the surge before they stop selling them next year, when the X comes out, I already have an 8 but I envy those who have the IX MR.

Also a friend of mine has been trying to get into an MR lately for $34k but the dealers will not budge and all the IX MRs in KC or near there were running for like $36k--$37k when you could normally grab one for like $34k or possibly less. I havent checked into Metro but Im sure theirs are going for the same prices unusually high compared to 6 months ago.

Sure, but you are talking on a nationwide forum where the OTD price will differ based on tax rates, licensing and title costs, etc. You talk sticker price then people know what there other OTD costs would be to make it comparible.

It doesn't surpise me the IX SSL sells more then the IX MR. Most people don't want to pay $2k more for the 6-speed and assorted items. Plus the lack of sunroof I'm sure affects the sales. With black coming to the MR I'm sure that will boost MR sales.

South Coast's pricing is done for as of today.

Now people can start selling their used 06's and people won't be like "I CAN GET A BRAND NEW ONE FOR XXXXX" and open up lowballers...
