Dreamlike1,

It should typically read 1.4 bar max and taper to 1.2 bars by red line. Perhaps 1.5 bar max when the weather is colder. Also that is what the manufacturers claims

Well give this a try. I was driving home and put it in sixth and built up boost slower than nomral and just keept smoothly excelerating... I was able to hold 1.4 BAR Easy.

Dicking around I was in third Shifted into forth nailed the gas and was able to spike to 1.5bar and then the gauge knocked it back down to 1.0 and it built up again to 1.4bar.

My theory is the Stock BOV leaks after 20PSI. SO if you build up boost to quick it leaks out which may be your problem.

Issue? The stock hose clamps weren't tight enough. 5 Mins tightening with a wrench and BAM, 20PSI, that is your problem, I guarantee it.
where should i look? Which area/bolt did you tighten?
Any picture?

Tighten all you IC clamps. Open the hood, right at the throttle body, two connected to the metal pipe, and two under the intake box. There are also lower IC pipes as well.

All are 10mm bolts, the TB is at the top of the engine bay where the upper intercooler pipe ends... Ie follow the big tube that goes past your battery.

Yeah Tighten all your hose clamps, they are GARBASH from teh foactory. My brand new IX MR, the 1st time I floored it it blew off at the Throttle body. Did that like 10 times then I got a t-bolt clamp. A good investment is some IC piping and T-Bolt clamps, I did on my 03 and I will on my 06 MR

If you or anyone ever blows theirs off and they have nothing to fix it on the road, just use your shoelace. I blew my i-cooler piping off at the bottom of my hill one time and didn't have crap to fix it. All I could think of was my shoelace and it worked damn well to make it all the way up my steep hill.
