just had cams installed, WOW!
I just had my car worked on @ Billet Design of Pompano Beach, FL. 1st let me say that I’m thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and their shop, top notch!
I had Buddy Club 280int/ 272ext cams & ARP head studs installed along with a Megan wrapped header & o2 housing and an AEM Wideband.
The car pulls incredibly hard from about 3500-7500 rpms! It’s basically a different car in that it has lost no power down low but has TRQ that comes in @ 3500 and seems to stay to the end. It gives that “throw you back in the seat feeling” in 4th & 5th gear whereas the stock cams fell flat!
No need to downshift when in 5th gear passing o the highway @ 80,nail it and she takes off!
The car is a real beast, it gets up to any speed you choose very, very quickly! The best part is it’s yet to be tuned and I’m only making 19.5 psi from my original 21.5 (turned it down a tad to be safe)! Al’s tuning it this weekend so it should be awesome. My AFRs @ WOT, 19 psi is 10.2, so there should be a good amount of tuning & leaning out for power. I can’t believe how good the car pulls, feels and sounds w/out a tune! 2nd best mod to date!
The headers & o2 housing give it a really nice race car sound, but not too loud. The cams have a really nice lopey idle, but has never stalled once, and that without a tune!
I’m VERY happy with the cam choice and Billet’s work!!!! I highly recommend Billet Design, the Megan headers,o2 and BC 280/272 cams!

Not to spoil your high but it is not safe to be boosting your car until it is retuned
PS - the guys at Billet do amazing work - you should see their exotic car twin turbo kits

Yeah do not drive around beating the **** out of the car with the new cams installed. You can be running lean on some areas of the powerband and not even know it. Wait until Al tunes her up. It will be another animal .

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it easy (boy that's hard!). Should I turn the boost down more?

gears are definately not worth the money.. i had them on the car and just ended up adding another variable for disaster.. bottom line the car made more then enough power without adding crappy cam gears that ended up breaking two bolts off while on the dyno.
