1. You're stupid.
...99. You're still stupid
You just learned a $36,000 lesson. Never drive without insurance! I have no pity for you whatsoever. I hope the Police bend you both over backwords. Anyone who drives a car (let alone a $36k sports car) without insurance doesn't deserve to drive.

You should get smacked for letting a drunk person drive the car in the first place.....luckily it was just the car and no innocent bystander.
I would beat the **** out of him and slap yourself for allowing him to do it.

Great friend you have there...
From the looks of it, hes not going to pay a dime. It actually looks like he's happy your car is wrecked.
I've had a friend crash my brand new car before. Lets just say we are not friends anymore. The bastard had no sympathy for the position he put me in, he almost acted like it was my problem to begin with. I drove around with a bashed car for almost a month.
This so called friend wanted to take my car to this ghetto body shop and do a half *** job to repair my brand new car. I ended up paying 1000 deductible, raising my insurance premiums, and lowering the value/ integrity of my car. Expensive lesson learned.
By the way how would you feel if your friend decided to get drunk again and takes out some innocent people or even one of your family members?
Whats worse you decide.
I think your friend has a larger lesson to be learned before he kills himself along with others...

ouch
Guess you'll find out how good a friend he is. Let us know if you start parting out. I would not accept a repair job either. That's not how your car came. If you need a hookup on a new one, I can help you get employee pricing.

WOW. I know anger isn't really the solution but I would.
1. Beat the smile off that guys face.
2. Shoot myself (for letting him get the keys)
Let us know what happens. If this happened to me I'd probably be in a padded room somewhere.

On second thought, i think his friends insurance would only cover he he has full comprehensive insurance. I.e. The total package, otherwise, it might only cover liability. I.e. Damage to the building.

Still dont know why you didnt get the police involved.....Now it will be your word against his. Not a good position to be in.
Next time, I bet you will think twice about leaving the key in the car. If I was there, I would laugh at the both of you....one for your friend recking a car and having ot pay for another car...and second at you for being stupid enough to leave the keys in the car and then not beating the crap out of him while pictures of him smiling while sitting in the car.
