new tune for ignition??

i have the AEM EMS 1313U with a tune and just purchased the AEM CDI twin fire ignition,am i going to have to re-tune it with this new ignition??i hope not cus im in hawaii and no AEM tuner i had to fly andy from speed element to do it,so can i just install ignition and be good?and if i need to adjust the tune is it easy enough to just log on my ems and be on the phone with a tuner and make adjustments to the ignition part? well if any help please let me know,thanks

uhm.... the aem requires drivers and coils... you have that? you should have searched and done more research. and yes you do need to retune czu you'll be burning more of the fuel more completely which takes away some of the detonation protecting temperature quenching fuel.

You will need to adjust your coil dwell for the AEM CDI.

do i need the coils etc?no website for aem ignition says coils are needed etc??tryin to contact ams and find out....

This is why you safe yourself some time and money and get a sun auto or a hks plug and play you dont need to retune the car. And no you dont need to retune the car with the aem unit nither it will help out with a more solid spark.

it doesn't say because it is literally an ignition box. it's not an ignition amplifier liek the hks and sun units.

you can't plug it in to anywhere. you gotta make the stuff you're gonna plug it into.

well talked to my tuner said it will be fine and talked to a guy at horsepowerfreaks and hes runnin the AEM 1313U with aem ignition and no coils or drivers and its fine...

Probably just learned a valuable lesson.....for these types of questions it's better to contact your tuner directly.

Also there is an AEM forum here and your question would probably be better answered there.

Most evo people run a flash for the most part....

Tell us how it works out for you however
