Dyno Numbers

Need some ppls thouhgts on my dyno numbers. Do they seem right for the mods I have. Also how much does weight play apart in numbers on the mustang dyno.

Vehicle weight has nothing to do with dyno numbers. The only time weight will effect your numbers is in the wheels and rotors.

I have brembo slotted rotors....I would guess they are lighter. The tune kicks @ss. My car has never ran so good. I had got tuned at SlowBoy Racing on their dynapack. It made 451whp and 390ftlbs. Dave baselined their tune and the numbers were 312 and 286. With his great tuning skills the numbers went to 339 and 302. I m still using a maf because my dumb *** got the wrong power fc (l-jetro). The only reason I m asking the great evo m nation is because someone pm and asked why my numbers were so low. I think there alright, so plz ppl let me know.

Your numbers look right for a Mustang dyno. From everything I've seen they read low. My guess is that you have about 350 hp on a normal DD.

The thing is there is no real way to compare dyno numbers on different cars unless they were both run on the same dyno on the same day. The important thing is how much of an improvement you saw on the dyno and that you are getting consistent numbers between pulls. Everything else is just for bragging.

We posted at the same time. Wow! that is a huge difference between dynos (415 v 339) but as long as it is running great and you are happy that is all that matters. Did you have base numbers on the dyno dynamics dyno?

I went to Dave Buschur to get tuned on his mustang. The first place was Slowboy racing on their dynapack. Dave baselined slowboys tune. It was 312whp and 286 on his mustang. So it went from 451 to 312. Is dyno dynamics the name for the mustang dave has? Dave gained almost an extra 30whp with his tune

That is a huge difference in numbers. It doesn't really matter what the number is though as long as you pickup from the baseline.

Slotted rotors aren't enough of a weight savings to change your numbers. I was talking more like dynoing with a 17" vs. a 20" wheel.

I have enkei racing series rp-03 17 inch. there wider than stock and only weigh 17lbs without the tire. Is that a low number in your eyes with that turbo and mods. I thought it was alright. Dave buschur even told me that dynojets and dynapacks are terrible for a true number. As you see they are, look at my numbers.

You have already called Dave's dyno a mustang dyno, so why did you ask if it's called a dyno dynamics? Dyno Dynamics and Mustang are two completely different dyno types, but the Buschur MD reads very low like a DD does.

I tell ya one thing, though. It makes absolutely no sense that you went from 451 on a dynapack to 312 on an MD unless they were giving you crank HP on the Dynapack. There is not that much difference between two dynos. The good thing is that Dave did a baseline, then got you 27whp from there...

Yes, rotational mass (weight) makes a difference in WHP. But in that case, it's not so much a difference in overall weight between cars - it's just the difference in rotational mass.

No, he asked if you also had baseline numbers on a DD, not if your current numbers WERE from a DD. You clearly stated you did a Dynapack then Mustang. Those Dynapack numbers have to be crank HP...

I would say that you also are wasting a great list of mods by using only pump gas on that big turbo. If you were to get alky, you'd be on a whole new level...

i know daves tune was the ****. my car is smooth as glass and that all i care about. I just started this thread beacuse some kid pm this msg please tell me your car is puttin down 339whp and 302 wtq without the turbo...

i saw your signature in one of the threads and i think if your car is only pushing that much on 94oct with all that you got cheesed bro. I have all bolts ons, the AEM, and 264I&E. i put down 319who and 315wtq on 93 oct on a mustang dyno granted im much closer to sea level. anyway im not tryin to slander i just know there is something thats going on or you meant to say 439whp and 402wtq. good luck.
