First Evo sales figure I've seen
http://media.mitsubishicars.com/deta...52437&mime=ASC
The salient point:
Lancer Evolution closed at 417, with a volume increase of 40% over June 2005.
So it seems that 417 is pretty high sales numbers for the Evo, which would work out to 5000 Evos a year if that happened every month. My guess is the impending shutdown of the line, and people who think the X is ugly/expensive/etc got a IX while they could.
So maybe 3000 Evos per year is a reasonable guess, if you use an estimated 250 for June sales. (417 x 0.6 ~= 250)
Anyone here ever find anything more concrete on Evo volume in the US? Not that it really matters, just curious.

maybe it IS perception, as I dont know the production numbers for sure, but I do know that I see more STi's on the road than I see Evo's. I could spot out 2-3 a day (not the same ones) just cruising around town, yet go days without seeing another evo.

I think it really depends on the area you live in. Around here I see a ton of STi's but rarely ever do I see an Evo. When I drove to Florida in June I saw several Evo's but not a single STi other than the one I was driving.

I agree. I see STi's all the time and Evo's every couple days or so. Although I do live in Oregon where there are more Subaru's than anywhere by far. The autogroup I work for has the #1 Subaru dealership in the nation and it's not even that big... It'd be cool to see the geographical sales for both. I was in the midwest for the last two weeks and didn't see one STi or Evo. Sure is nice to be home
