I noticed that my right side hid light turns purple. As it warms up it looks matches the left side but the it starts to turn purple. Light output it less I believe because it's harder for me to see. I haven't checked anything yet because I dont have time until my day off and I rarely drive the evo anymore so it doesnt really bother me, yet.

anyone know I still havent checked yet. I'm too lazy. If it's the ballast would warranty cover that? Probably not since its a wear/tear item...

 

They should cover it, I had a bad passenger side HID and they replaced it. It didn't turn purple though... I think this is the first I've heard of that happening.

 

If you look at it from a different angle (like if you sit in the pass seat) does it look different then? there is a lot more purple fringe on the edges of the illuminated areas on my EVO HIDs than there were on other HID cars I've owned.

 

no I mean it is really purple. You can tell very easily that it's not the same and light output is drastically less. It makes it hard to see at night. And it looks bad.

Maybe i'll try to take it to the dealer. I have had evodave paint my headlights and they might not help me because of that...
