02 housing, ported manifold, please help!!

So I was doing a little research, and my two options for 02 housing is either getting them ported or buying a new one? Will they be the same size whichever way I go? I'm leaning towards buying a new one, helix, works, invidia, ebay, or megan? Help me out guys......and I don't need a 10.5 hotside right? IX's come with it already? Double checking ^.^

Also, with the manifold, you can port this as well? Will this have the same effect as getting totally new headers? No right? Just curious, i'm guessing people do this because it is cheaper and still gives you gains???

Thanks for your help guyS!!!!!

the gains that you see with the 02 housing are very min. But I guess if you were to go with one I would say the e-bay one. Busher did some testing on these and they were the best ones and for the price you can't go wrong.

the stock manifold is better than most tubler manifolds unless it is the full race. Save your money and get your ported.

Go ported/coated OE manifold, Megan 02, and hot side... best route for most people.

Stikiller, first of all, calm down. You call for help like your engine blew up, but in reality, you're asking a newbie question that has been discussed, asked, answered, dyno'd, and test many times already. This is all very basic info, and you can get everything you need by looking for a thread I started named "Xmas" or something where I show all these parts along with installation and post-dyno. You can also find out a ton by looking for threads started by DavidBuschur where he dynos all these things and explains it all in great detail.

- Do not do the Works or Invidia O2s
- OE = Original Equipment. YOu know, like OEM - I'm sure you've heard that term.
- You have a 10.5 hotside, but you get it ported and coated along with the manifold and when installing the new o2
- stock manifold ported/coated > tubular manifold (unless Full Race one that's over $800)
- You need to find out why you're torque is so low - may have a boost leak
- Just get all 3 from Buschur

Ruri, the head side of the manifold doesn't get ported, because the runner inlets are already the same size as the head outlets. The other side gets ported, and it all gets coated inside and out.

Nothing there, Dustin. The P/P manifold is sold, and the o2 is a stock o2. He needs an Ebay o2 style, not the stocker. Buschur showed 13whp/12wtq gains over the stocker ported/coated.
