Throttle sticking ??

I was rev matching doing a downshift today and for some reason my car stayed at 4,000 rpm with the clutch to the floor ?? Why did it stay at 4,000 rpm for a good 15 sec or so then slowly went down to normal ?

It could have something to do with a feature that is written into all 05+ ecus, if you do a hard pull and qickly let off the gas the ecu can hold the rmp's up for a second to burn off any fuel left over in the cylinders. This was done for emmisions reasons. It does'nt seem to happen to me all the time, but when it does it is very noticable.

Useless thread, lets make the most of it.

Only 2 things can make that happen. Popped off PCV line or standard 05+ Ecu programming. 15 seconds is about as exaggerated as my 3 months claim.

Mine does the same thing, mine didnt do it at first but it just started doing it about 6 months ago. i press in the clutch and it stays at the rpms that it was at in gear, then after about 5 to 10 seconds it SLOWLY starts to lower and takes an extra 5 to 10 seconds to drop back to idle.... wonder what causes this. i thought it might have something to do with my 272 IN/EX cams i put in about 8 months ago. not sure though
