I would recomend the new wisco 1000+hp pistons and oliver rods. I would also get the new eagel crank. Depending on how many miles you got on your motor you might need a new oil pump. You also need a head gas., head studs. If you dont have a clutch i would get twin plate or better.

Since you are going to placing an order with AMS and you have their GT35R turbo upgrade why not just ask them what they recommend? I'm sure they will be better able to guide you than a bunch of people on the internet that you don't know if they know they *** from a hole in the ground.

If you want to hit the 600whp mark your going to have to port you head out 1mm with a dual spring setup. Bring the rev limiter to 9200 if done right. Drop thouses hks 272's and get some cosworth m2 cams with have 11.0 lift and both sides plus a set of cam gears to fine tune the idle and power band. If you can get some which it is super hard to get over here is hks 120oct race gas so you can bring that boost up to 32psi. And you will for sure hit over 600whp if not use a lil bit of alk/meth. Top off with a crazy soild tune and you will love your car.

I would personaly suddgest a stroker motor;2.1(destroked),2.2,2.3,2.4. I had a GT35r on a 2.0 VIII and i also drove a friends evo with a 2.3L and same basic mods with a 35r and his was way faster and more responsive!!!! it very important to focus on engine response than just top end or bottom end. If you can build your engine to build the same amount of power earlier and longer you will be more pleased with the results. The 2.3 does just that and it will allow you to hit the 600whp mark... Vivid Sell and builds them but also AMS can also build them both very reliable and strong motors. Good Luck let me know if you need hooked up!

Installed? in and out of the car? AMS builds many strokers and very successfully. So they can ask that price. Vivid has created there own stroker kit that has been tested on many but not aswell known as other.

The $5000 AMS quoted for installation includes the stroker parts and assembly, right?
You should be able to take your car to your local indep. Mitsu mechanic, have them pull the motor, ship it to AMS for stroker short block assembly, then reinstall, all for about $5000. Removal and reinstallation should cost about $1300, AMS stroker is $3250.

No you didn’t understand them, the $5000 is probably the quote for you to bring the car to them so they can pull your motor install the 2.3L motor, so the 2.3L motor and labor would cost you $5000.

I just talked to my tech. we have a shortblock here ready to build and ship if you want it. If we have your car and we build your motor and get installed your looking around $4500 for the price of the kit installed you driving away kicking some trash.(complete) Just PM if you have any questions.
