Just got my first Evo...

I just bought a 2005 Evo 8 a few weeks ago and have been looking around for some good parts, I want to start upping the power on her but I wanted suggestions as to the the first thing recommendations...

I bought it bone stock with 17,500 miles,

Since I bought it all I had done was a cat-back TurboXS exhaust...

so for under a 1000 bux what are the next upgrades you recommend,

next on my list was an RMR Intake kit, any experiences with these?

I also liked the Apex'i S-AFC neo fuel controller but I don't want to **** up my car if it is too complicated, again, any experiences...

Thanks in advance

A tune.....and some brake pads and a HPDE session would be what I suggest.....no use adding too much power if you can't handle the car stock

No I never used those, but what i would do and did is:
did downpipe test pipe
not did but would do is injen hard pipes
Did Boost gauge
Did Hallman Pro MBC
Did BOV greddy
did but moree than 1000 ACT 2900 clutch and flywheel
do yourself a favor and put porch screen over the intercooler bumper grate(keep those bugs and rocks from denting you IC)
Also look into a turbo timer I have greddy
Next on my list is cams and a better intake
Don't forget to get tuned after you do anything....This is important.

MBC(best mod imo for less than $100 bucks)
Boost gauge (Defi-D's are great and cheap. roughly $100)
Downpipe (i went with RMR)
Turbotrix tune
T Bolt clamps for ur IC pipes or atleast just the throttle body ($4 a piece roughly)

those are well under $1000 and a good start.

Downpipe, Test Pipe and Boost Controller will be your best $1000 spent.

Oh and BTW, congrats on your new toy!
