New tranny and t-case w/lsd ordered!

I placed my order with Jon @ TRE today. I finially bit the bullett and said f*ck it im going to do it.... I was supprised he answered the phone, but long story short i aked him if he had a new tranny and t-case built to his specs there and ready to ship w/ a LSD for the t-case and he said yes. I told him i needed it all by This Saturday and he said no problem it was early enough in the day that it could go out today. So i said lets do it.... I sent him the money via paypal and the way it went.

So lets see if he comes thru, and im sure he will.

All i can say is i ordered my clutch and had made sure it arrives before Saturday so i should have it all here and ready for the swap this weekend.

So a total of $5,505.00 is what i ended up spending for:

TRE Spec Evo 8 Tranny
TRE Spec T-Case w/ Ralliart LSD
Diaqueen
Competition Clutch Stage 4 Kit (6-puck sprunk disc) up to 250% over stock.

Wish me luck.

Thats a big bullet to bite but good luck with it i am sure not having to worry about the tranny will outweigh the cost.

I'm actually considering doing it as a first mod

Yea, it will be nice to be able to shift nicely instead of feeling a grind every once and a while and or the notchy feeling occasionally under normal driving. Although i do believe its because the clutch was becoming weak and worn out. I tried to adjust the clutch pedal before coming to this decision. And i do have a stainless steel clutch line. I bought the car used and was told it had a exedy twin plate in it. I was told it was installed roughly 18,000 miles ago. Well i honestly do not believe so... But i will find out.

5k ouch! But like JD said it will be worth it when you drop the clutch and you don't have to worry about calling a tow truck home.

i would have went with a different clutch (exedy twin disk) but other than that sounds like you got yourself one heck of a set up in the mail.

If your doing the install your self i recomend adding advil to your shopping list (for the headache of installing that stuff)

Thanks EiEVO, we usually get them out the door in a week and sometimes sooner.
