Just a heads up for anyone looking for a WW Evo IX RS (IL)

So I was driving by the dealership where I got my Evo from (Max Madsen Downers Grove in IL) on the way home from work in my rental (long story - my Evo is in the shop in Columbus OH), and I spot a WW IX RS on the lot and do a double take.

I stop in, and I'm told by my salesman that it a customer in Mexico had ordered one and they were about to ship it down, but the guy hasn't put down a deposit or anything, so technically its still for sale. They have a few Evo's, but hands down this is the sexiest mother on the lot.

If anyone in the area is looking at picking up a Evo IX RS in wicked white, I think this may be one of the last ones available in the country. Just a heads up, I paid $27,500 for mine before TTL. These guys seem to be somewhat willing to play the price-match game with South Coast, so mention that South Coast has these things for like $25,999 now (or whatever rediculously low price its at) and ask for Pat Stewart. They'll play ball I assure you.

I just bought my RS, I paid 29,6 for the car and the taxes, tags... etc. I don't think I did to bad. I wouldn't mind paying 26,000 for one, but it would cost me a grand to get it shipped here... so either way i'd be about even.

I tried playing the South Coast match game with them, and got nowhere. They told me they couldn't compete and to buy it from S.C. The same thing happened at another dealer, but I just went ahead and bought anyway.

Interesting.

I went in and walked out about about once a week for 2 months before talking numbers, though. I think I wore them down a bit.
