gas

this might be a dumb question but i live out west and i have never seen 93 octane gas at any gas stations not even at stations that sell race gas. is 93 octane just an east coast thing im curious because in the mitsu owners manual it reccomends using 93 octane and out here in utah and i think also in california we only have 91 octane can someone explain...

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Many states have 93 oct. Sometimes even have 94 oct. Sadly, many do not. Its a cruel world. (REF: CAN does not have 93 oct, EUR has 98 oct)

Depends where you live. Im thinking of leaving MI in a few years. Ill get alky before I have to detune for 91 oct.

From what I was told almost all states east of the Mississippi River have 93 octane and states to the west have 91. In St. Louis we have 93 but just 100 miles west in Columbia all they have is 91.

Most states that are high altitude get 91 max because NA cars dont require anything better because of the lower air pressure.
