Uprading to 37r

Feeling I left alot on the table at the shootout I feel the car has a real low 9 in if not a high 8 just the way it sits, hard to believe but the A/F was 10.47-10.65 on the 9.3 pass, ****ty 60 foot at 1.442, full lift to shifts and peak boost of 38 falling to 30. Looking at some old slips I have laying around I found a few from Extreme's old Talon running 8.8 and 8.9@153, his 60's were 1.38 and 1/8 was 5.8@124(mine only 6.0@120.3). Obviously with the 35r I won't have too much more up top, maybe 154-155mph at best so I will have to improve on the ET wich is alot easier. Talked to Martin today and we both agree that the 37r will make this all that much easier of a task(hint, hint 35r is now for sale in the for for sale section. ) So soon I will be swapping turbo's and have Dave retune it and see what happens. Some people might already know the car is tenativly for sale, im getting to old for this and it's time to retire, but not until I get my 8!!

It's funny to see aggravation at results that would put everybody else on cloud 9.

Why not go back out with the 35R with a cleaned up tune? Doesn't seem like you're the type of guy that takes the easy way to being fast.

why not just go to a 40r at least you'll know theres enough turbo there to hold the boost....dont limit yourself (again) especially if you want to go even faster.....remember even if you go 8.99 speed and power is an addiction.....it never ends.

Curt,

You are not alowed to retire, we've cancelled your pension and fronze your 401K account.

I think you're gonna have to open up a driving school

I'd say try to wring out the 35R a little more Curt. You've already set a record that probably won't soon be bested. If you are going to retire, might as well stretch that lead out if you are going to walk away from it...

Not going to E-town heading to PRP on the 8th with the 37r. With the 35r I will have to run a perfect pass on a cool day to hit an 8, 37r will make things easier and maybe go deeper in the eights. Still don't know how it ran 152 mph, I called the 9.3 but at 148-149 mph, not 152!, Must be the Buschur tune. BTW in the first post you saw I ran 10.4-10.6 A/F, it was due to being ot of fuel at the dyno at 655whp, we then put some "HP" Buschur pump in, first trip down the road-- 10.0 a/f from 12.xx, never did re-dyno it but at 11.5 a/f down the track with more boost on the 37r it should run good.

Consider, in your retirement, opening an import drag racing school similar to Roy Hill's domestic set-up. Until then, go get an 8.
