Evo vs Wrx Etown-Rain

Looks like it is going to rain for tomorrows event at etown. I still may drive up if it is dry and weather.com says its dry. I hate the f--in rain. Beautiful weather for two weeks and now the rain.

iam still going as long as the percentages dont get any higher. On weather. com if you go to hourly details it says 50% rain from about 6am to about 2pm.

That's what sucks about the style of racing Americans like (NASCAR, drag racing, etc.). You would never seen a F1 or MotoGP race canceld because of rain unless it was a monsoon or something...

Is there an anti-rain dance?

^+1 the only time F1 is canceled is when the medical helicopter can't get in/out....last race was a great example...the rain made it that much more competitive

Yeah, when was the last time you saw a F1 car that will go 4 second quarter miles? Try to put that kind of power down on a wet track and you're going to see some airbourne cars.

I wish they would let us do this event in the rain though, that would be dope, and a true show of AWD superiority.

I didn't say you could safely run drag or NASCAR or IRL events in the rain. I'm just saying that's what sucks about them. Of course if your race consists of explosively launching a car with massive horsepower and no front wheels or brakes, or turning left all day at 200+mph, it isn't the same as say, navigating a circuit or rally stage...things that require a more balanced approach to racing, and use things like steering wheels and brakes as well as the loud pedal...

But this is all so I apologize.

Lol I remember the first time Chris dragged me to a rain event I was like WTF why do I want to do this. But I learned alot that day which ironically set me up for my next first track events that just happened to be in the rain.

Nothin like hittin Limerock or VIR in the SNOW on R compounds like we did 2 years ago

Considering that the car was made to be a rally car...and considering i have never seen a rally race cancelled because of rain. I would say overseas racing is way better than NASBORE..er....I mean NASCRAP.

I cant watch a race event that doesnt make a right turn at some point. UNless its drag racing
