Just adjust the dial on the side for the backrest a little bit. This always made it go away for me. If you leave it in the same place all the time it likes to make noise.

I have ssl and I make sure not to sit sideways on the seat because the bolstering doesn't seem very strong. taking the seat cover off and gluing foam is not that bad though. those seats look like black poodles.

The problem with finding used ones is they are almost as expensive as new aftermarket seats. Its not just the EVO guys that are looking for the 03-04 seats. Almost anyone with a sports car can get the seat and rails and make them work in thier car. I know the DSM guys are actively searching for EVO seats as well.
When mine finally take a crap I'll be looking for some EVO9SE seats.

I have the same problem on my driver seat. It's actually worn a hole in the very top layer on the left leg bolster... I think it's because my car was owned by a 45 year old fat lady before me...

I have the same problem. I got lucky and found someone on here that wrecked there Evo and bought his drivers seat from him. So when mine finally looks like AS* or I sell it I can just switch it out. Not the best option for everyone but I got a great deal.
